Who can apply to the expert network?

Applications should demonstrate relevant research or professional experience. Academic, public-sector, consulting and independent research backgrounds can all be relevant.

Relevant experience

Policy researchers, regional analysts, regulatory professionals, social researchers, and academics may be a fit. Independent researchers and qualified doctoral researchers can be considered.

Evidence of expertise

Include roles, projects, reports, publications or methods that support your specialist knowledge. Identify your own contribution. Institutional affiliation alone does not establish expertise, and an interest in current affairs is not sufficient.

Research coverage and methods

State the questions and jurisdictions you cover, along with relevant methods and working languages. Research coverage is recorded separately from residence. English-language collaboration is the intended starting point.

Professional responsibilities

Consider outside-work permission, confidentiality, conflicts, and professional or public-service restrictions before accepting work. Project-specific eligibility still needs checking after a network review.

Independent analysis

Political opinions, party affiliation, and personal ideology are not application fields. The intended assessment focuses on professional evidence.
