Project scope, fees and payment terms

Apply free. If a relevant project arises, you can review the topic, workload, fee and payment terms before deciding whether to accept.

What experts receive

Accepted experts may be invited to paid interviews, written research or surveys that match their background. You can assess each invitation for yourself and decline work that does not fit your expertise, availability or obligations.

Written work as well as calls

The planned formats include policy briefs, evidence reviews and comparative analysis alongside expert interviews and research surveys. These examples are not open project listings.

Define the scope

Preparation, calls, writing, source checking, revisions, and meetings affect workload. Confirm the deliverable, timetable, included work, and how changes would be handled.

Confirm compensation in advance

Fee, currency, invoicing requirements, payment timing, and cancellation terms should be clear before you accept. Policy Expert Network does not currently publish a standard rate or promise an earnings range.

An external rate benchmark

Arbolus, another expert network, cites roughly $100-$500 per hour as a general benchmark for most expert consultations. This is Arbolus's industry guidance, not a rate offered by Policy Expert Network. Fees vary with expertise, demand and engagement format.

Decide whether to participate

Review the subject, fee, timetable and restrictions for each invitation. You may decline. Applying to the network does not commit you to future work.

No guaranteed work or income

No open projects are listed on this site. Applying or being accepted would not guarantee assignments, a minimum workload, employment, or income.
