What is Policy Expert Network?
Policy Expert Network is a specialist network in development for public policy, regulation, geopolitics and social research. The proposed model is paid research and consultation, with experts invited according to the requirements of each future project.
Is it free to apply?
Yes. The planned network has no application, membership, placement or bidding fees. The scope and compensation for each paid engagement would be agreed before work begins.
Does joining guarantee paid work?
No. Applying expresses interest in future project work. It does not guarantee admission, assignments or income, and it is not an employment application.
Who can apply?
Policy researchers, academics, practitioners, regulatory professionals and regional or social research specialists can apply with evidence of relevant work. Independent researchers and doctoral researchers with relevant outputs or experience can also be considered.
Will my CV be public?
CVs are intended for private application review, rather than a public directory. In this preview, the selected file stays in your browser and is neither uploaded nor saved. Before live applications open, the privacy notice must identify the operator and explain access, sharing and retention.
Do I need LinkedIn or a work email?
No. The preview accepts personal, university and work email addresses. A public profile link is optional; a university page, ORCID record, personal website or portfolio can provide supporting evidence. A CV would be required for a complete live application.
Can I participate alongside my current role?
That depends on your employment terms, outside-activity rules, confidentiality duties, and any applicable restrictions. Check your own obligations before agreeing to a project. Public-sector roles may need additional review.
How would compensation be agreed?
You would review the deliverable, preparation, revisions, timetable, fee, currency and payment terms before accepting. Policy Expert Network does not currently publish a standard rate or promise a volume of work.
Do I have to accept every invitation?
No. You would decide whether to accept each invitation after reviewing its subject, scope, timing, fee and restrictions. Membership would not oblige you to accept work.
Can I apply from outside the US or Europe?
Residence is separate from expertise. The initial research focus includes the US, UK and Europe. Research coverage, working language, time zone and the feasibility of each engagement would be assessed separately.
What should I remove from my CV?
Remove home addresses, identity document numbers, bank details, reference contact information, unnecessary sensitive information, and confidential employer or research material. Focus on relevant professional evidence.
Can I submit an application on this preview?
You can complete every field and select a CV on one page, but the form does not send your application. Email verification, secure uploads and status checks are not active.
Do I need a PhD or a university position?
No. Relevant experience can come from universities, public service, consulting or independent research. The proposed review assesses evidence of your work and the contribution you could make.
Do I need a CV, and can I add it later?
A complete live application would require one readable PDF or DOCX CV of up to 10 MB. In this preview, you can save a text draft and return in the same browser tab, then select your CV again. The file itself is never saved or uploaded.
Can I send my CV as an email attachment?
No. Email applications are not open. A confirmed submission route will be published before applications can be received. You can prepare your CV and explore the local form preview in the meantime.
Will I be asked to share confidential information?
No. Research must respect government, employer, client and participant confidentiality. Decline any question or engagement that would conflict with your obligations.
Can I update or withdraw my application?
This preview creates no application record. You can edit entries, clear a saved text draft on the form, or remove saved site data on the Cookies & Browser Storage page. A live service will need a verified update route and a contact process for withdrawal and privacy requests.
Am I applying for a full-time role?
No. This is an expression of interest in future project-based research and consultation. It does not create an employment contract or a commitment to accept work.
What types of projects might be available?
Planned formats include expert interviews, written research, comparative policy briefs, evidence reviews and research surveys. No paid assignments are currently listed. Each future engagement would require a separate agreement.
